Meaning in English

Let us praise Lord Krishna, the divine child of Mathura,
who played joyfully on the banks of the holy Yamuna River.
He is the shining light of the Ayar (cowherd) clan,
and Damodara, whom Mother Yashoda lovingly tied with a rope.

With pure hearts, let us offer flowers, sing His name, and think of Him deeply.
When we do so, all our past sins will be washed away –
just as dust turns to ashes when touched by fire.
O Paavai, let us worship Him together with joy!
